Women’s Self Defense Class – Open to the Public – March 11, 2016

Please join us March 11, 2016 at 7pm for a wonderful event that will be a lot of fun, teach you a few things about how to keep yourself safe and enjoy some social time afterward!

Carroll Lutheran School’s parent group is holding a “Women’s Self Defense Class” that is open to all women to learn about how you can effectively defend yourself in a variety of situations.  The class will be taught by Hanover Boxing Club’s own Joe Dressel, a fourth degree black belt in Hapkido.

This class isn’t just about “midnight in the city” types of defense, it’s about establishing boundaries and sticking to them, no matter your age.  There is much to be learned and a great time to be had, and we invite you and any of your friends, family, neighbors or co-workers to join us for this wonderful event.  You do NOT have to be part of CLS to take part in this event.

The evening will kick off at 7pm with a 2 hour class.  At 9pm, there will be refreshments provided after a well paced class where you can talk further with the instructor, or just share some great social time with your girl friends.

This event is only open to women, of most any age.  We suggest a target of middle school age or above, but each parent can make the call if they feel that their younger child would enjoy the class as well.
