Our annual consignment sale is just around the corner, on February 11, 2012. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and EVERYONE'S help is needed with promoting the event, setup, working the event, and breakdown. Parents are asked to help in the following ways: Help Promote This Event!To ensure that we sell all of the merchandise that comes in, please help promote this event by listing it in your church bulletins, on community calendars, at your local doctor's/dentists and 7-11s, and telling everyone to come shop. We will be sending out promotional "Come Shop!" emails that you may forward easily to your friends. You may also print and post our flyers anywhere you wish to get the word out or send to friends. Remember: The more people that come, the more stuff that sells! You may also volunteer to set out road signs a few days before the event (see below). VolunteerWe need help from setup on Thursday through breakdown on Saturday evening. Anyone who helps for a 4-hour shift can come shop EARLY on Friday night! Roughly the times we need help are 6:30-8:00 PM on Thursday, Feb. 10 (setup), 11:30 AM to 8 PM on Friday, Feb. 11 (receiving and sorting goods, setup, cashiers) and 6:30 AM to 6 PM on Sat., Feb. 12 (sales, sorting, cashiers, cleanup). All families are asked to sign up for at minimum of two 4-hour shifts, because we have over 200 shifts to fill. Extended families and friends are invited to help as well--neighbors and consignors are OK too! Anyone who works a 4-hour or longer shift has the opportunity to shop on Friday evening before the sale opens. |
