Exceptional Education, Formed in Faith

Volunteering

Carroll Lutheran School thrives on its volunteers! We are proud to say that 100% of our families volunteer in some manner to help support the school. We are similarly blessed with the support of volunteers from our church and business community. We welcome this support from our immediate and “extended” families, who help us with:

  • Schoolwide support: Lunch and recess duty, office support, occasional substitute teaching, after school clubs and organization, field trip chaperones, Science Lab helpers.
  • Special functions: Pitching in for Granparent’s Day, Field Day, Book Fair Family Fun Night, Santa’s Workshop, and service projects.
  • Fundraising Events: Organizing and supporting events such as the Book Fair, Fun Run, Basket Bingo, Spirit wear and Restaurant Sales.
  • Ongoing fundraisers: Contributing to ongoing fundraisers such as collection of BoxTops, Coke Rewards, Recycled paper & clothing.
  • Committee Support: Attendance at meetings and serving on the Board, or Famiy Partnership Program (FPP).
  • And so much more…

Volunteer Requirements

Anyone wishing to volunteer to work directly with children must complete an annual volunteer orientation before volunteering. CLS holds an annual volunteer training session at the September FPP meeting each year. Thereafter, you may request an individual session. Anyone wishing to substitute in the classroom and work without direct supervision of another adult with children must undergo a State background check and fingerprinting. Please contact the office for more information about volunteer training.
