Inclement Weather Policy

Before, during and immediately after inclement weather and snow storms, Carroll Lutheran School will follow the decisions of Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS) for delays, early dismissals, and school closings.  You can check for up to date information about weather related closings on our website, through school office emails, and on local television channel 11.  Even though we will follow the decisions of CCPS, you will continue to see our school’s name on the crawler on channel 11 as well.

After a storm, when roads are cleared and our students can safely return to school, but CCPS remain closed as they clear bus stops and parking lots, the CLS Administrator reserves the right to reopen school ahead of CCPS.  If this occurs, families will be given sufficient notice through the channels listed above in order to be prepared to return to school.

Before and After care will follow all delays and closings.  For example, if school is on a 2 hour delay, then before care will open on a 2 hour delay.  If school closes early, after school will be closing early, and if school is closed, both before and after care will be closed.
