CLS Preschool Reading Program at Grace Lutheran Church – “Mission Moment”

Students from Carroll Lutheran School visited Little Friends of Grace to read to the preschoolers. The four-year olds looked with awe at the older youth who took time to talk with them and inspire them by opening up a new world through reading!

CLS was proud to be featured in the February 1, 2018 edition of the Grace Lutheran Church “Weekly Update” for its participation with the “Little Friends of Grace” preschool reading program.

CLS performs its preschool reading program for many area preschools.  It is a wonderful program where CLS middle school students visit with the preschools and read to the children at the school.  The joy that the CLS students express about watching the faces of the children light up as they read to them is truly inspiring.  After each reading session, each child in the preschool class is provided with a book of their own as a gift from the CLS students.

This is another example of how CLS students learn not just strong academics, but also how to “pay it forward” to help others grow and develop as learners.
